Director Ron Howard has been working on the movie adaptation of the play Frost/Nixon by Peter Morgan. The drama, titled Frost/Nixon, is set for a December release. The two original actors from the London and Broadway productions of the play, Frank Langella and Michael Sheen are reprising their roles respectively as former US President Richard Nixon and as British TV broadcaster David Frost.
Here below the first official trailer of Frost/Nixon:
In 1974 President Nixon resigned to hide the truth.
But one man had a few questions.
They were out of their league, out of money and out played.
Their only hope was the truth.
FROST / NIXON
"The film focuses on a series of interviews that David Frost (Michael Sheen) conducted with Richard Nixon (Frank Langella) in 1977 following the Watergate scandal that occurred in the USA in the 1970's." (source: Wikipedia)
The Original Characters
Frost / Nixon is the tale of this interview and what leads to it. The History drama performed well on stage. But will it be as successful on screen? I bet yes because Michael Sheen and Frank Langella really incarnate their respective characters. It makes the movie an amazing fight of wits!
